What really caught my eye
when I first saw the Short Bus was its size! It was perfectly
proportioned...even though it had been shortened (sectioned) by 2 feet,
the width of one side cargo door. The trick was to lower it, too! That
made it perfectly proportioned for it's height and length. When
people first see it, they can't quite get their minds around what
they're looking at. They know its not like anything they've ever
seen, but can't figure out why. That said, it wasn't the most mechanically sound and trustworthy vehicle to drive. It "looked good"...but had been sorely neglected. I considered it a diamond in the rough...to put it mildly! I told the guys at Steve's I wanted them to repair the bus "as if your wife and kids were going to take it for a ride in the country". Below is a list of repairs they recommended be done to the Short Bus to fulfill my request. |
